Quana Green

Senior Queen Candidate

On September 20, 1984 at 6am, in the best capital (Austin) in thw Biggest State (Texas); it was said that God created "The Big Bang." To this day it is unclear why she was referred to as "THE BIG BANG." Whether it was because of her Big Bangin' baby physique or the Bang in voice as she cried for freedom from her mother's womb; nevertheless, Quana Green was born. Ironically, she would grow up to live up to "The Big Bang" in all she did: from her Big Bangin' personality to her Big Bangin' drive to excel in all aspects of her life. Quana Green has succeeded at being an unforgettable and positive force in everything she encounters. You can find her bangin' down the doors of success, bangin' down stereotypes or just bangin' her melodious voice on Northwestern's campus. Hopefully you will get to encounter Quana Green and realize that she is far from just a student; she's an IMPACT. Embrace her for who she is and what she is not.   Hi my name is Quana Green and I am Northwestern and Beyond...

Brett Schneider

Senior King Candidate

Brett Schneider hails from Oakland, California and is currently completing his senior year as a double major in Theatre and Philosophy. He is a member of Boomshaka and NU Tour Guides, and has been known to perform an occasional magic trick or two, much to the chagrin of his peers. Well-versed in a multitude of performing arts such as acting, fire-juggling, magic, mime and Bob Ross-style painting, Brett is proud to admit that he will be the first to graduate Northwestern with no marketable job skills whatsoever. If dubbed Homecoming King, Brett will display his crown in a trophy case for years to come, unless he has to melt it down and sell its raw materials for food.

Emerald Morrow

Senior Queen Candidate

Emerald loves school, and anyone who knows her knows that. Shopping for classes the first week of school, auditing classes of interest....yes, she REALLY loves school. She also loves Northwestern. "My time here has been the time in my life that I have grown and learned the most." "My college experience has been amazing, and I give a lot of credit not only to Northwestern as an institution, but also to the people who make this place what it is," says Emerald. She is very involved on-campus and finds that her involvement has greatly influenced her college career. This 21-year-old senior hails from Saint Louis, Missouri and is majoring in Journalism, with a minor in Business Institutions. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and President of The Pursuit, a pre-professional student group geared toward those interested in law and/or business. Emerald's interest in and passion for issues relating to race, class and education have inspired her to pursue a master's degree, followed by a PhD in African American Studies. See, we told you she loves school! Outside of academics, you can probably find Emerald at Borders reading books or magazines not related to class (yes, she makes time for that, too) or at the Paper Source on Central Street conjuring up a creative, crafty endeavor. "I'm kind of like a Martha Stewart minus the insider's trading scandal," she says. "I love crafts, particularly stationery, and I am always working on someone's invitations, wedding announcements, or something of that sort." Vote for Emerald, she's quite creative and actually likes school! Now that's what you call school spirit!
